Project objective:
The overall objective of the RuralProof project is to revise national and regional policies in order to provide comprehensive support to rural areas across Europe facing various structural challenges, by encouraging the application of innovative place-based approaches and innovative governance, thus contributing to fair and integrated development beyond urban areas in the participating RuralProof countries.
To achieve this objective, RuralProof aims to:
Identify key factors hindering rural development in RuralProof regions in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of development barriers and identify potential opportunities that can be leveraged through targeted policies.
Identify effective and innovative rural development approaches based on good practices that can be implemented through improved national, regional, and local policies.
Improve existing policies related to spatial planning and rural development in order to better promote balanced and sustainable growth and the long-term sustainability of rural areas.
