Within the framework of the third call for cross-border cooperation between Hungary and Serbia, The Bačka Regional Development Agency, in partnership with the University of Szeged, the municipalities of Mohahalom and Ada, as well as the Agency for the Development of the Municipality of Temerin, submitted the project entitled “Cooling Cubes-Integrated spa development strategy for the spas situated in the area of the main traffic route through the Hungarian – Serbian cross border region”.
The primary goal of the project is to develop an integrated strategy for the development of the spas located in the vicinity of the main transportation route between Budapest and Belgrade. To develop this strategy, a comprehensive situational analysis will be conducted, development concepts for the spas will be aligned, and expertise will be shared through workshops, forums, conferences, and research. The project activities include 30 spas from the Hungarian and Serbian sides, with the goal of better positioning them in both regions.
The total amount of approved funds for the implementation of the project activities is EUR 117,440. The project activities will be implemented over a period of 16 months, starting in March 2013.
