The Regional Development Agency Bačka, in collaboration with the City of Sombor, organized an interactive workshop on December 16 in Novi Sad as part of the international project “Reindustrialisation Following the Brownfield is Better than Greenfield Principle – ReInd-BBG.”
The workshop was held in the conference hall of the “Pupin” hotel, where the project’s goals and activities were presented, along with the pilot location Agrosavez Sombor. Through open discussion, participants addressed key topics in sustainable reindustrialization and the application of BBG principles.
Special emphasis was placed on reducing land consumption, preserving the environment, and achieving Green Europe goals, as well as promoting the development of circular and sustainable local economies and balanced territorial development.
The workshop was attended by representatives from the Regional Development Agency Bačka, the City of Sombor, local self-governments, and the Development Agency of Serbia. Conclusions significant for continuing the project implementation were adopted during the workshop.
The ReInd-BBG project aims to strengthen institutional capacities and reduce socio-economic and administrative barriers in spatial, economic, and ecological transformation processes through the application of the “Brownfield is Better than Greenfield” principle.
