The third partner meeting of the Danube GeoHeCo project was held on March 20-21, 2025, in Bratislava, Slovakia, at the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information. This meeting marked the first annual project review, providing all partners with the opportunity to assess progress, discuss financial matters, and address upcoming activities. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat, project officer Mr. Šindler and financial officer Ms. Arsenić Petrović, also attended the meeting.
The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person and remotely. Following the opening speech by the host, a representative of the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information, the project’s overall status was reviewed by the lead partner, Međimurje Energy Agency (MENEA).
The review covered the progress made toward project objectives, challenges encountered by partners, and proposed solutions. Partners responsible for specific project goals presented their activities, followed by discussions on pilot investments, financial status, and cost projections. Thematic work packages were a key focus, particularly the tasks planned for implementation in the third and fourth periods, preparation for the “Training of Trainers” program, IT tool testing, and the status of technical documentation related to pilot investments.
Discussions also included the beta version of the platform, feedback from stakeholders, and planning for the transnational conference scheduled for June 2025. Communication and dissemination activities were presented, with an emphasis on partner engagement and future plans.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to project management topics, including the status and further organization of tasks for all partners. Discussions covered the content of the transnational action plan and the organization of regional consultative forums. In this context, an interactive workshop on developing the transnational action plan was organized, moderated by project partner CROST (PP2), with active involvement from all partners.
The meeting concluded with an agreement on the timeline for the next project activities to ensure continuous and efficient progress in its implementation.
