The fourth meeting of the project partners of the Danube GeoHeCo project was held on 10–11 December 2025 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The host and organizer of the meeting was the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN).

The meeting brought together project partners to review the progress achieved so far, coordinate upcoming activities, and strengthen cooperation within the work packages. In addition to project management topics, ongoing and planned activities within the thematic work packages were discussed, key project results were finalized, and activities related to pilot investments were reviewed. As part of the event, a study visit to a pilot site was also organized, providing participants with practical insight into activities being implemented on the ground.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and cooperation with other projects funded by European Union programmes. On this occasion, the Circular DigiBuild project, funded by the Interreg Danube Programme, was presented. Its aim is to accelerate the adoption of new technologies to support the implementation of circular economy principles in the construction sector across the Danube Region. The B2GreenHub platform was also presented – a platform for creating synergies in the fields of innovation and sustainability – which helps companies navigate regulatory frameworks, enhance market competitiveness, and develop sustainable innovations.

During the two-day meeting, partners were informed about activities in the field of communication and dissemination, while tasks related to the preparation and finalization of the transnational action plan were discussed in parallel. This encouraged active participation and cooperation in achieving the strategic objectives of the project.

The fourth meeting of the project partners within the Danube GeoHeCo project contributed to strengthening coordination among partners, the timely delivery of project results, and the further improvement of pilot investment implementation. The study visit and interactive sessions additionally fostered knowledge exchange and the practical advancement of shallow geothermal energy solutions in the Danube Region.
