Project goal:

The overall objective of the project is to improve the generation of value added in rural areas, through improvement of the efficiency of policies focusing on fostering cooperative innovation of SMEs. As challenges of rural areas may differ, better tailored and more place-based policies may enhance the activity of the SME sector. A more active and inclusive SME development policy requires collaboration between businesses, and businesses and other elements of the quadruple helix (public bodies, academia and civil society). The project aims at providing good practices and value-added transfers of experience and policies in the field of SME cooperation in rural areas, networking, clustering and innovation.
